The Ethical Lip Scrubs You Need for this Winter

Winter is the time for holidays and joy, but sadly also for dry and crusty lips! By me, the winter really hasn't been super chilly until now, so I thought it would be the perfect time to give some lip scrub suggestions! It is absolutely NOT cute to have your lips looking shriveled and gross under a beautiful winter lipstick, so I have scoped out 3 of my favorite ethical lip scrubs that will save you from an embarrassing lip disaster.

1. Three Ships Lip Exfoliator

I am absolutely obsessed with this product because it is not only effective for those super dry days, but it is made ethically and responsibly. The product is cruelty free, made in Canada, and with recyclable packaging! The tub is glass packaging which makes it feel all the more luxurious. I do not recommend this for using on the go as it is not a squeeze tube, but it is perfect for preparation for a night out! With scents in Cherry, Vanilla, and Piña Colada, you will almost want to eat it!

2. Seraphine Botanicals Sugarcane Lip Drops

This product is actually a leave-on lip exfoliator and primer to apply before your lipstick. I was so intrigued by this product, but didn’t expect it to work. Well thankfully I was SO wrong! This product is a clear lip oil consistency that absorbs beautifully into the lips. Due to the serum dropper applicator, it is very sanitary for use during the day. This makes the perfect base for under your lipstick or it can act as a lip balm on its own. I have never seen anything like this product before so it is awesome for those that have been looking for a solution to their dry and cracked lip problem. This is perfect to throw in your bag for smooth lips all day long. This brand is also cruelty free and vegan which of course is an added bonus!

3. Peony Butterfly Butter Lip Scrub

This product is a great lip scrub that just gets the job done. This has added moisturizing ingredients within the product to really soothe and hydrate the lips. With Shea Butter, Safflower, Jojoba, Sweet Almond, and Pumpkin Oils, your lips will be looking and smelling fabulous. The packaging is not glass, but is in a squeeze tube for those who prefer this form of application. The company also claims that their product is paraben, gluten, and cruelty free which is always a great thing to hear!

Definitely check these scrubs out for the sake of your precious lips! I feel a lot better knowing that these companies have some admirable qualities that I can support with the power of my dollar. So enjoy this chilly season filled with snow, a crackling fire, and of course luscious lips! Do you have a favorite lip scrub? Let me know what you think!

With Love,

April Ann :)
