Calling all conscious consumers!! I think I have found a brand that you will absolutely love! Miami Beach Bum was kind enough to gift me 4 of their amazing products to try out and share my thoughts with all of you! Although gifted, all of the opinions are my own, and oh gosh do I have a lot to say! This brand not only encompasses the ethical values that we all wish to support, but also include aspects of sustainability to their product assortment. Behind the Brand
Miami Beach Bum is a brand that offers a variety of bodycare products, skincare products, and essentials for your perfect beach day that are plant-based and effective! They of course are not only for avid beach goers, but it all started because of the need to create a product to heal the little annoying blemishes we may get on our bums from our swimsuits. Miami Beach Bum is a woman owned company that checks off just about all of the conscious consumer check boxes on the list!

Oregano and Pearl Infused Bum + Body Cream

This product is absolutely outstanding! I have experienced similar issues with folliculitis from swimwear and tight clothing and let me tell you that this product REALLY works! I approach marketed Bum Creams with caution, but this product has really done the trick! This cream smells like a creamsicle which had me sold. I am not a fan of fragrance in face products, but for the body, it is absolutely divine.
Texture
The texture is smooth and creamy and absorbs fairly quickly. I enjoy that it doesn’t have that sticky and gross feeling when applying.

Oregano: This anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, antioxidant has properties to balance the skin's biome and improve skin conditions and irritations.
Pearl: The minerals and proteins in pearl accelerate collagen and elastin renewal, strengthen the internal structure of cells, brighten complexion and smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
Jojoba: This anti-bacterial moisturizing agent helps control sebum production while deeply nourishing and hydrating.
Aloe: Ultra hydrating and loaded with antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamins A and C to hydrate, soothe and heal.
Orange: Improves the appearance and texture of skin by promoting clarity, radiance and smoothness while reducing the signs of acne and aging.
Facial Therapy: Hydrate and Repair Cream

If you are looking for a light daily moisturizer this is the one for you! The reason for the almost perfect rating would be that the cream is a little to light for my dry skin type. If you are looking for a super lightweight product, this will be the perfect addition to your collection. The product claims to reduce fine lines and hydrate the skin. The Aloe also contains soothing properties to calm the skin from redness and irritation! The lemongrass gives a beautiful scent, but could potentially be irritating to those with super sensitive skin.
Texture
This is a very lightweight cream that feels very cooling and smooth on the skin. This almost instantly absorbs into my skin leaving an ultra-smooth base for my daily makeup.

Aloe pure, lightweight hydration for all skin types. It contains antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamins A and C, and it is highly anti-inflammatory.
Lemongrass cleanse & calm the skin with vitamin A and C. Astringent properties minimize pores, control sebum production and heal blemishes.
Squalene moisturizer that is easily absorbed and prevents water loss from the skin.
Hyaluronic Acid replenishes skin & reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Jojoba Oil lightweight moisturizing oil with antibacterial properties that controls sebum production and soothes eczema, psoriasis & dermatitis.
Pearl Powder has 30 trace minerals, along with calcium, iron, copper, magnesium, silica, and selenium which are needed for youthful skin. Conchiolin hydrates the skin, rebuilds collagen and increases skin's barrier action for retaining moisture. It also tones skin and inhibits melanin production. Giving you bouncier skin, reduced pore size, & improved texture.
Green Tea has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties that protect your skin from premature aging, UV damage, redness, and irritation.
Leave in Hair Conditioner
Rating: 3/5
This product is really nice, but for a curly haired girl like myself, I would need something with a little extra umph. The scent is beautiful and it truly does smooth out the texture and frizz of my hair. As it is a part of their beach collection, it is meant to act as a layer of protection from the sun, the pool, and the waves. If you are constantly outdoors and in the water, this is an amazing option to take care of your hair while being conscious of the coral reefs. This product is reef safe which is a huge win for sustainability and conservation efforts. The product is a little hard to get out of the bottle, so an improvement in that area is needed.
Texture
The same as any basic leave-in cream. Nothing to report.

Aloe Vera vitamin A, C, E + B-12 hydrate your scalp and hair while preventing & repairing sun damage.
Coconut Oil stimulates hair growth, encouraging hair to grow longer, thicker, and faster while also helping to prevent damage.
Panthenol coats the hair strand protecting from external damage. And this protein-like vitamin penetrates the hair shaft, increasing moisture retention.
Biotin strengthens the surface of the hair strand.
Algae is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that protect from external damage.
Rosemary + Orange plant-based scent that soothes scalp, moisturizes hair, infuses the hair strand with vitamins & protects against damage caused by sun, salt & chlorine.
Natural Insect Repellent
Rating: 4/5
This product is a lifesaver because it is a clean alternative to the gross and sticky common bug sprays. The spray is the best way to rid yourself of the annoying pests naturally. I luckily have not been in too many insanely buggy environments, but so far I have seen no issues. This may not be as strong as the spays with loads of toxic chemicals, but it may be worth it to experiment with safer and more natural alternatives.
